Lucerne to LeSabre ft brake swap question

The Lucernes that I looked at had 17" wheels and probably larger diameter rotors. I know that the Lesabres with 15" and 16" wheels use different rotors and calipers.

Yes, the Lucerne has 303mm rotors for 16" wheels and 323mm for 17" (wheel size is cast into the calipers). I'm running 16" wheels on my LeSabre, and am hoping I can swap the Lucerne 16" parts for mine. What I really need to know is if the caliper bracket mounting bolt spacing (5.09") is the same as the LeSabre's, so the brackets can bolt up. Thanks for your response!

Well, I did it! '06 Lucerne (w V6 & 16" wheels) front dual piston caliper brakes, oversized (for my 15" wheel LeSabre) 303mm drilled & slotted rotors. It was a complete bolt on of all the Lucerne brake parts wit only the addition of 4 (2 for ea side) 1.5mm thick washers between the hub and caliper bracket.

Thanks for sharing. After the swap, can you tell much improvement when braking?

The rotors and pads are brand new, so I'm still breaking them in but from what I can tell so far seems much better. I just finished about 2 hours ago.
