Magnaflow Prototypes Hi-Res Pics and Low Res Videos

Per several requests, here's an new video taken from my second story window over the garage. Hopefully it gives you guys an idea of how it sounds from upstairs.

I sent a facebook message to trackstar distributors about pricing for this exhaust. Their price is $9500 and the msrp is $10,500. I told them that magnaflow must have put the decimal in the wrong place.🙄 Hopefully magnaflow will change that price or they won't sell any of them.

It looks like Magnaflow finally updated their website, they have pics of the exhaust and an expected eta of 6/20.

Since it is for the 2.0 Turbo, there is no reason it shouldn't work for the GS... just take the tips off like the factory exhaust and let it vent into the fascia cut-outs. The only question is what diameter the GS exhaust is... if for some reason it is larger than 2.5" then this would be a downgrade.

I am actually going to be under the car tomorrow for an experiment with the GS exhaust fascia and I'll be measuring the factory cat-back while I am down there.

...crap, there goes that theory. Even after the cat? I thought it was just a bigger downpipe.

One option would be to go with the the regular kit and just replace the pipe from the cat to the Y with 3" ...at that point I guess you might as well go full custom.

It's 3" up until the y in the back, if I understood correctly.
It's a bummer Magnaflow doesn't offer (at least right now) an option for a 3" exhaust for the Turbo (and GS), it would leave a bit of room to grow for other mods. the single 2 1/2" should not be a restriction with pretty free flowing mufflers until after about 300hp (engine), even then it's really not a major bottle neck.

With turbo's in general though, the bigger the better. Less stress on the hot side impeller.
