I recently purchased a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. It has the "Service AFL" warning. A diagnostic revealed the following DTSC:
Headlamp Control Module (HCM) 1 problems exist
1.U1511-00 Lost Communication with Device on LIN Bus
Both of the headlights work without fail, as far as lighting up goes. However, the auto adjusting /aming feature is disabled. My passenger headlight points at the ground and the driver side points up and into space. I don't care to service the AFL feature, is there a way to manually adjust the headlights' aim?
I've spent a couple hours combing the forums, but did not find anything related to deciding against repairing the AFL system?
Thank you for your wisdom and insight!
