Looking at my old MAP sensor it is the same part number after all. I already replaced it a couple of months ago. Made a big difference in performance for sure. I was surprised given that it wasn't throwing a code or anything.
I'm super tuned in to my car and notice every little thing when it comes to performance.
Before replacing the MAP sensor I noticed the engine seemed to want more air when driving. MAF sensor had been replaced 15,000 miles ago so it wasn't that. Who knew we needed a new MAP sensor?
Funny thing is I had that MAP sensor in my console for a year or two before popping it on. lol
I'm convinced when you creep over 100,000 miles, just replace all the sensors you can reach. It will save you from breaking down and keep the expensive stuff happy.
