my 06 surges

Don't go past 44, seriously very little information to go on.

Do you have a check engine light on?
Are you up to date with maintenance, plugs, filters, etc.?

no check engine light on update on the maintenance the plugs and wiring I was debating about changing just to see if that was the issue. I had them changed about 53,000 miles ago

53K on top of what total mileage? Wires and plugs could be a issue depending on what they were replaced with, injectors may be dirty, TB needs cleaning, catalytic converter may be another issue, air filter, again not on site and have no knowledge of your vehicle so it's guessing at best.

Surging at speed is a safety issue so get it fixed ASAP.

We had similar issues with a bad throttle position sensor on a 3.x litre Buick Rendezvous engine.

You can search my posts for our diagnosis project. That was a DIY project and took a lot of effort to troubleshoot. I don't know what engine your car has (or even if it has a TPS module lol).

I can't remember we did but that might have included cleaning & testing the MAF, throttle body, and EGR valve. Replacing the airfilter. Checking battery, alternator and testing main grounds/power with voltage drop tests.

Engine runs very well after all that work.

Thank you I have a 2006 Buick lacrosse it has the 3.8 engine in it. The plugs and wires were changed about 50000 miles ago. I have done a lot already trouble shooting it , like changing the filter running injector cleaner through it, taking the filter housing apart and cleaning everything, checking all the wires for bad spots and corrosion changed the pvc valve and the MAPS. It is leading me to TPS they might be calling it something else so far I havent seen that type of wording? Just started researching it.

Again 50K from...? Overall mileage is....? Tossing parts, something must have set off a code at some point which may lead to the root of the problem.
