Buick Ownership
2011 Buick Regal
Purchased it mid August, new to the forum as well!

Purchased the Turbo model w/ Express Sunroof during employee pricing event. I made sure to grab an Opel unit. I have already put on 5000KM, and have to say I love the drive. I had an owner of a 3-series BMW admiring it in the Safeway parking lot the other day!

Picked it up in white exterior with cocoa cashmere interior.

- Got the GM all season floor mats thrown in the deal, they are quite nice.
- Purchased the chrome pedal covers from the dealer, retail is $145, convinced them to give it to me for $121!
- Ordered a cargo mat from www.carid.com and its a good fit, was $90 including shipping via UPS from the US (Avoided brokerage by clearing it myself).
- Got the front bumper, 5 inches on the hood, and mirrors done in 3M to prevent rock chips.
- Appointment next week for windows to be tinted.
- Installed 5000K Halogen H7/H11 bulbs "HID Attitude" and they are stupid bright compared to the stock ones.

I want to throw winter tires on the stock 18" rims and then get 20" in the spring.

This car really does attract the young buyers!

Cool pictures! I got mine too in late August, same deal with the price.

How do you like Cashmere interior so far? There was no models in Espresso Bronze with that interior without sunroof. I opted for Ebony/Piano Black and it was growing better and better in my eyes.

Mine is with Aisin automatic transmission, in retrospec I should get the one with manual.

Cashmere interior is so classy. It's really not what I expected! It adds a lot to the white car!

I was going to get the expresso bronze but it was a fully loaded model, a bit out of the price range. I went with 6 speed automatic. I was told I am probably the youngest buyer of this car in Canada haha 😱

The black ebony / piano is REALLY sharp!

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of accessories for this car yet. Even aftermarket stuff. I still can't find a GM factory remote starter.

Welcome p.r!

welcome
I like the white! cant wait to see what rims you put on it.

Where did you get your bulbs? Did you find then locally or did you have to order then online? Where they difficult to install? I haven't looked to see how difficult it would be to replace, but would love a brighter light.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Your Regal looks great! This car turns my head every time I see it. Buick is doing such a great job with their vehicles lately. The Lucerne is a nice car but I see it as "old Buick". The Enclave came along and really has a nice presence on the road. The LaCrosse is a real head turner and now the Regal - and coming soon? The Verano - quite possibly the nicest compact luxury sedan on the market. I'm very excited about Buick - and I think all Buick owners should be...

I did not want to install an HID kit in mine so I got the brightest halogen bulbs I could find; Sylvania ZXE "HID Attitude" and "Xenon filled". Nothing is the same as HID except HID, but this comes rather close enough, that I no longer want to install HID kits.

Sylvania ZXE from Canadian Tire, they were $69.99 per set of two. They are a new(er) product from Sylvania.

You need the a set of both the H7 and H11 for the Regal.

The passenger side headlights were easy to install, but the drivers side.... to "unscrew" the cap on the compartment was a nightmare. That side has the electrical box, battery, wiring, and washer fluid reservoir / fill port all bunched behind the drivers side headlight. That side took around 15 minutes as I tried to squeeze my hands in, and not drop the new bulb.

Any suggestions on getting the 3M film done after a few rock chips? I have a Granite Grey Metallic To7 that has two spots on the bumper after a 2200 mile road trip. Evidently the paint on the bumper is really thin and underneath is white or light grey. The chips really show up! Should I get them professionally repaired and then covered in the film? I've never looked into the film before but I've never had a car chip this easily. I'm pretty sure one of the chips is from a giant grasshopper that I hit doing 80.

See if the place that installs the 3M can repair it there, it might be cheaper. I had a chip on my door for some reason and just bought the paint pen (with roll ball) and covered it.

Ran me $489 for the entire front bumper and few inches on the hood, also mirrors.

I might get the headlights and foglights done, they are about $80 a set where got it done.
