Starting another thread here after spending a week playing with this flippin' car.

To recap my 96 Buick Regal started having weird issues with the doors randomly locking themselves while the car was in motion. Seems to be when I hit a bump they start they try to re-lock themselves. Thinking it might be the convenience module I pulled it out. Which does fix that issue, but while trouble shooting this I noticed that when ever I hit the brakes my floor board lights would blink. Out of curiosity I plugged the convenience module back in and noticed it was doing the same thing then, which suggest the problem isn't the module itself. During this trouble shooting I also noticed that my doors were not re-locking themselves when I put her into gear. Which suggests that the switch up on the column might be messed up and is shorting.

If anyone else has this issue before I'd appreciate the assistance. But it's slowly getting a bit pricey to replace various random switches on my car here. :/

You may have a ground problem, under the drivers/passenger side carpet terminals. Have you ever had wet carpet in those areas?

Well no, I don't think I've never had issues with the car floor getting or wet enough to corroded or otherwise gotten it wet. But I can look into it. Which terminals are we talking about here? I replaced the door lock relaying, thinking it might have an issue.

That said: I've noticed another issue: it seems that my brake lights themselves are no longer working. The lights themselves seem to be working, given they do illuminate when I have the hazard lights working. So it's not a fuse I think. 😕
