Blower motor is going out on my 2003 Lesabre, got a aftermarket part and it included part of the HVAC housing so that it would fit more years.
The motor is easy, 3 screws and its out but the replacement wont fit (motor to motor), its too large. So I went ahead and tried to remove the housing on the car...it is a nightmare, pulled 5 screws and the housing didnt budge. Does anybody know where to get a real replacement?
My OE motor says "Dong Jin 52401829 14V CCW Korea" its the silver metal housing with a white fan.

Does anybody know of a source?

Are you sure the motor has never been replaced before? Very unusual to have a Korean blower motor installed in an '03 LeSabre. But, as we should all know, most parts are outsourced, hence the recent 1B GM recalls! Click Here for some alternatives. Good luck with the aftermarket brands!

Dong Jin Motor Co., Ltd. - blower motor, geared motor, dc geared motor, pump motor, universal geared motor
I'm having the same problem... finding the right replacement. This is the one that's in my car.

Put that part number into Amazon and I found a ton... Here's two:

And a
Genuine GM Parts 89018521 Heater Fan/Motor Assembly -

Perhaps it’s this style. This is what’s in my 2002. It doesn’t have a cooling tube. It has a larger outside housing which is a real PITA to get to some of the screws.
Everything except the Four Seasons

Hopefully, the OP was able to replace the blower fan in the past 9-yrs. This thread is getting old! The link below shows the OEM replacement for an '03 LeSabre, but they are expensive, but will save a lot of labor hrs, pain & suffering!
BTW, the OP said he had an '03 LeSabre & some of the OEM part #'s shown in the post above, do not match the year of the car!

Mine is a 2002 but uses the 1st design without a cooling tube. When I searched using the year it came up with the 2nd design but when searching with my VIN it comes up with the one from 2001. I thought this may be useful.

Always try the Rock Auto on line catalog for good service, good choice of parts and reasonable prices If it is out of stock, it will be listed. . They even have levels of parts such as: Economy, Daily driver, Pro and so on. They have OEM AC Delco, Delphi, and other manufacturers. Remember the price on line is for the parts. They will add on Shipping and Tax. I rec. going with the least expensive shipping. They will send even the lowest cost shipping in a timely manner. They have a series of great photo's of each item so you can be sure it is what you need. Look for the red heart in each listing. That is the most popular item in that group.
I just ordered a 'Belt tensioner Kit' for my 2003 with a new Gates serp. belt, a Gates belt tensioner, and two aluminum elbows with 'O' rings for $103,xx plus shipping and taxes of 21.xx or so. I got it in 5 days by FedEX or UPS.. I don't recall which.
