Buick Ownership
92 Buick Roadmaster Limited; 05 Mercury Grand Marquis Limited
My 92 Roadmaster now shares the garage with a new used car, we bought a 05 Mercury Grand Marquis for my wife, since the beater 89 Dodge Dakota just wasn't cutting it. It was a good running truck with working A/C, but as a regular cab, taking our 2 youngest sons to & from school was cramped, especially with back packs crammed in on bad weather days. So now we are back to a car payment, which we haven't had for a couple of years. The Mercury is low mileage for it's age, just a bit over 50,000 miles, with the 4.6 V-8. When I say my Roadmaster, we always have the vehicles in both our names, but one is speciffically for me, and one for the wife.

the merc is a good car...I have a soft spot in my heart for panthers....owned a 94 town car, 89 LTD wagon, and a 97 town car which ive had for a while....great cars, sad to see the last crown vic roll down the line last week. but that merc will keep running for a while. you gonna post pics?

THE MENACE

I've been driving a 95 Town car as a Daily Driver for the better part of 2 years now. I started driving it, when my dad bought his 2006 Town Car to replace it for his limo business. Great cars, and decent to drive. Very comfy, and mileage is ok. However... Ever since I started driving it, I have missed my Fleetwood / Roadmasters.

ive always been a fan of the town cars...they have a certain 'presence' that i like. my 94 RMS is my first b body, and im liking it so far, other than the fact that it needs some work. but fixed up, it may be enough for me to shell out and get the fleetwood LT1.

If you were to give an honest side by side comparison though...how would you stack the panthers and the b body's up? pros and cons...

THE MENACE

I'll try to get some pictures up, but will have to wait till this weekend when my wife and I are both home, since I am very unskilled in the modern technical age. I have driven the car once, and it does drive really nice, but I still prefer the Roadmaster!!! And looking under the hood of the Marquis, boy, is it busy! And I for sure am not putting the Roadmaster down, but the Merc sure makes the Buick look dated. The color is I believe called Arizona Beige, but looks almost greyish in certain light. Has a somewhat dark grey 1/2 vinyl roof, with a very light tannish interior.
