Hello,

I have no idea what I'm doing, so expect to see me around quite a bit. I'm not a car guy, and I wasn't raised around car people. In fact, far from it.

However, I still had the impulse to buy something over a decade or two older than myself. I've never even popped the hood and only ever had work done on it at a shop. Then, I kinda caught a bug. The kind that nags at you until you buy a 'dummy' book on it and flip through it until you have no idea what you're looking at. Currently there are no issues with the vehicle, but I kinda want to make her a little less of a pig.

She's rough, not so much rust but the paint has long faded and there's minimal rust on the panels (minimal being one or two spots that easily might wipe away with a good scrubbing). It was bought second-hand from an older mechanic who just didn't want it sitting around, runs nice.

I wanted to paint it, mostly because I scorn the light-aquamarine color that still clings to it's surface. I feared I might run into some issues with the textured top portion. Any tips there, would be great. I was looking into Plasti-dip temporarily.

I want to milk this old Buick for just about anything it can give. I was personally a bit disappointed when I saw that the engine it came with wasn't the famed 455. Once I get more comfortable taking out a wrench and banging things around I might look into changing that....If it's possible without giving up an arm and leg. The thing's a gas guzzler, I at-least want a gas guzzler that can pick up a little more than the old girl can now.

Oh! Pictures should be going up soon.

Any information, tips, and even ideas I am open to and will accept with many thanks.

Regards,

Bone
