Oil Life Index

I just changed the oil in my 2000 LeSabre and now I kneed to know reset the oil life index on the gauge info. Does anyone know how to do this?

Try this
1) Turn the ignition to the start position but do not start the engine
2) Tap the accelerator 4 times in quick succession
3) Turn the ignition to the the off position
4) Start the vehicle.
Should see a message "oil life reset"
This works for the chevy's, let me know if this works for buicks.

This should be the proper procedure for your 2000 LeSabre as well as Park Avenue, and Pontiac Bonneville:Turn the ignition on to display the "Oil Life Index".Then press and hold the "reset" button on the "DIC" for more than 5 seconds,the "Oil Life" will change to 100%. If you have your owners manual, it should also be listed in there.
