Oldassz's 2016 Regal GS build

Here is the moment alot of people have been waiting for. Removal and install of the custom shift knob on the regal. Works amazing and fits like a glove. I'll add some pics once it's fully installed shortly here too. Shift knob was available on ebay for Buick excelle / regal. Hope this helps anyone interested.

A shot fully installed. Works like a charm.

Very easy. it wont break. I used a small prying tool with a chunk of cloth to prevent it from leaving marks all over the custom shifter surround. Worked like a charm!

Looks great. Love the front 'fog' lights! If you hold down the traction control button for 5 seconds it will turn off both traction and stability controls. You can then hold the brake and load up the gas to about 3000 rpm. It will engage the turbo quicker for better launch. You have AWD so you should get minimal tire slippage. With my stock air box (with KN filter) and my trifecta tune I ran a 5.95 0-60 time on my Escort GTimer. Without the tune the car runs 6.75. Funny, I had issues the first time I flashed the tune but since I reloaded it the car has been quick. Good luck and keep us updated!

So would holding the trac down for 5 seconds get you to 60 quicker than having stabilitrak competitive mode engaged? I'm gunna have to try this. I noticed I can't seem to brake boost the car really. Thanks for the feedback and the input here!

Yes. By holding the button down you are turning everything off. This allows you to freely rev the car while holding the brakes. You will get a much better launch this way. Not sure I would do it all the time but it definitely helps get you off the line.

It's stout out of the hole with brake boosting. whoa! I was under the impression you could do that with competitive mode as well but nope.
