Has anyone ever gotten an open antenna circuit code.?
My factory Buick radio at home is full of static, despite being less than 70 miles from the stations.
Unless I'm close, it's full of static. The factory radio in my Cruze is perfect. I'm not sure what's happening. Is there a broken wire somewhere?
I did notice my sharkfin antenna may have gotten pulled up slightly on the roof. Maybe that's it?
Thanks!

There is a good possibility that the Sharkfin Antenna is the problem.
Possibility the wires could have been pulled too tight or water might have
made it's way into the antenna.
Access to the Remove the Sharkfin is inside the car in the Headliner.
There are a few Youtube Videos that may help as far as removal, but I didn't
see any for a Regal.

I don't use AM or FM, but I did notice that I'm lucky if I get 1 FM station now. Don't know how or when it went bad, but at one time it was working perfect..

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate it! When I get more time I'll have to dig more into taking out the headliner, and find out what's going on under there.
Anyone know where the backup camera wiring runs to the front? I have an aftermarket head unit and haven't figured out how to make it work.
Thanks!

Another issue I now have is that, a while back, I installed a different head unit, a Chinese-branded SHA16 with a 9.9" screen. I reinstalled the factory head unit because I could never figure out how to integrate the existing backup camera and steering wheel controls, and get them to function as my factory unit did. The funny thing is, after I reinstalled the factory head unit, my UI on the dash now displays the Chinese language, and the screen on the factory unit doesn't light up at all, but the audio is fine. There is an open plug on the back of the factory unit, that I don't recall even unplugging anything from it when I installed the new head unit.. I have no loose or extra plugs under/in my dash or under the glovebox where the infotainment system wiring is plugged into a "box". I have no idea how to Chnge it back to engish without having the factory unit screen light up. Any ideas? I'm stuck.

Pretty sure there are 2 connections on the Touch Screen itself.
My HMI has 6 Connections and the Radio Module has 7 (yours may have more
or less depending upon the options your car had from the factory) .
The HMI is the Unit behind the Touch Screen and the Radio Module is somewhere
below the Glovebox and around the Passenger Kick Panel.

All of the Connections On the Touch Screen, HMI and Radio Module had Plugs in
them from the factory.
I upgraded my 2015 Regal to the 2.5 HMI and Matching Radio Module from a 2016
Chevy Silverado, I wanted Car Play and Android Auto in my car.

I looked into a System something like you went with, but decided to stick
with the Factory Stereo.
Losing the Steering Wheel Controls was a big part of my reason for sticking
with the Factory System.
the other reason was that every unit I even considered, I would have had to install
One of Their Backup Cameras.

Pretty sure that you're going to need your Touch Screen Working to be able to
change the Language from Chinese to US English.
You would need to access the System Settings.

Thank you for your response!
I did finally find the "missing" plug. I mistakenly plugged the cable into a similar plug in a module behind the HVAC controls.
I now got my screen back and was able to change the language back to English.

Glad you figured it out.

My Touchscreen stopped working last year and I had to purchase a New 2.5 HMI Module
(that is, if I wanted to continue to use Car Play/Android Auto).
It was a real PITA not being able to use the Radio, Backup Camera, etc...
I did figure out that I could use my Programmed Stations using the Steering Wheel Controls
even though I couldn't see anything on the Touchscreen.
I was able to see my Programmed Stations on the DIC (Driver Information Center).

I did some troubleshooting and was able to figure out it was the 2.5 HMI by replacing the
Bad 2.5 HMI Module with my Old 2.0 (Original Factory) HMI Module.
I then purchased a New 2.5 HMI Module programmed to my VIN.
I was able to use the Old 2.0 HMI Module until the New 2.5 HMI Module arrived, that way I
could control my Radio and use the Backup Camera (Glad I didn't sell the Old Modules).

There are quite a few Plugs to connect when replacing any of that stuff.
It's easy to miss one, sometimes taking pictures is the only way to go.
But then again, I'm sure you weren't expecting to have to revert back to the Factory
Stereo System, just as I wasn't expecting to have to purchase a second 2.5 HMI Module.
