I have a base park ave 1996 it has been giving me the dreaded p0171 I changed the O2, MAF. the traction light also comes on ???? any ideas ?? I heard it could coming from the bypass tube from the egr to the intake. but I can not find a parts store that can locate the part. Does any one have any ideas ?? and or part number?
Strange thing about a '96 OBDII PA, is when P0171 sets a "soft code" the traction control light comes on first. Hard codes, or history may, or may not set an CEL, however the code will show up with a scanner. Not sure why this happens.
