Paired device won't delete

A leave the door open the full 5 minutes. Less and it won't work.

We had the same problem with my wife's Encore. Dealer didn't know how to do it. This will sound weird but here's the procedure:

Turn the key on but don't start it. Make sure there are no USB devices connected. Turn the car off. Open the driver's door fully and leave it open for 5 full minutes. If you have a proximity key with a Start button in the car take the car in the house away from the car. This will force a reset of the blue tooth. Start the car after the 5 minutes and try to delete the old devices again.
Thanks! That worked.

I just bought a 2016 Enclave. Previous owner had 5 devices paired, which is the limit so I can't pair mine. When I try to delete the old devices, the screen freezes after I confirm the delete, so the delete is not successful. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how can I fix it?
Didn't work for me idk if I did something wrong tho...like when u mean turn car on but not start do u mean one click over or 2 clicks over on the key
I just did this ... and it worked . Turn car off , open door all the way put key in , make sure radio is off , hit the home button and go to configure and select Bluetooth and delete and it will actually delete them instead of freezing .

I have a 2016 Encore. I encountered the same issue that my Bluetooth would not delete paired devices. I fixed this problem by opening the door all the way and starting the car with the door remaining all the way opened and parked; turn off radio if not already (pressing the power/vol button in the middle of console turns radio off) and just press the Home button on console to scroll back to configurations. The paired devices had to be deleted while the door remains all the way open. I didn’t have to wait 5 minutes.
Omg! It worked, it seriously worked!
I never post to these kinds of things but however you figured it out, you’re a lifesaver!

To delete paired phone stick the key in the ignition but don’t turn at all leave driver door open and continue to delete paired phones and it should work this time

Thanks so much. Bought a 2016 Encore from Carvana. This just made it easy for me to delete 5 phones from previous owner and add mine. Worked like a charm. Thank you!

Thank you so much! It really worked, lol. OnStar had no idea and told me go to the dealership. This saved me the trip!
