- 2018 Buick Regal TourX Essence
I had planned to do all four corners on our '18 TourX Essence today, but got stymied by the first set of pads. I used the correct caliper piston retraction tool to crank the piston all the way down, but the caliper will not fit over the new pads - there's maybe 1/32" or a little more interference. No corrosion on any of the parts, so not dealing with that. These are PowerStop 17-1857 ceramic pads (left rear corner, specifically).
The old pads (with about 118K miles on them) still had good life left in them, so I put them back on for now.
Just checking to see if I missed something obvious (it's not my first brake job rodeo, for whatever that's worth), or if others have had similar issues with these pads.
