I had planned to do all four corners on our '18 TourX Essence today, but got stymied by the first set of pads. I used the correct caliper piston retraction tool to crank the piston all the way down, but the caliper will not fit over the new pads - there's maybe 1/32" or a little more interference. No corrosion on any of the parts, so not dealing with that. These are PowerStop 17-1857 ceramic pads (left rear corner, specifically).

The old pads (with about 118K miles on them) still had good life left in them, so I put them back on for now.

Just checking to see if I missed something obvious (it's not my first brake job rodeo, for whatever that's worth), or if others have had similar issues with these pads.

Well, it was operator error after all! I simply needed to crank the piston down harder. Got them done in a couple hours, including bedding. I kept the old pads, as they are probably less than half-worn, even with over 100K miles on them.
