Hi, I have a 2012 Buick Verano. There is a P0443 code. I found that the purge valve never opens. I am not sure exactly when it is supposed to open, but even well after operating temp it stays closed (old one and new replacement do the same). When the code is cleared, it comes back on immediately when the car is started so I suspect it's operation is part of the initial start up check when the key is turned on?
I have confirmed there is 12 volts at the connector. I also changed the gas cap just because it's cheap and easy. The only other thing I could find that apparently can cause the purge valve to stay closed is the vapor/charcoal canister. I changed that (not a fun job) but still no change. Any other ideas?
