If you're familiar with this install, you'll recall that an obstacle is that the camber bolts don't quite have enough clearance to pull out toward the front, thus the need to lower the subframe a bit to provide that clearance. In researching, I've read a few have been successful in removing these camber bolts by simply supporting the subframe and loosening the two 18mm rear subframe bolts just enough to provide the space (looking under there today, it needs 3/4 to an inch).

Yet the method in the following video has you remove a shield, a couple other things AND lower the exhaust system. While I'm sure this method is relatively easy/practical if you have a garage and a lift, it's arguably not so much for the average DIY mechanic at home in their driveway like me

So I guess my questions are have you tried the first method? Would you? I'm inclined to give this a shot and of course doing so while being extremely careful to lower just enough while supporting with the pump jack. I bought these Moogs from RA and I'm anxious to install...and to not pay anyone 🙂

I recently replaced my rear lateral links and I did not have to loosen or lower the subframe. The lateral link cam bolt can be removed from the back without lowering anything. It's a little tight pulling the bolt out from the back but it can be done.

You will have to get an alignment afterwards as it's difficult to get the cam exactly in the right spot plus the new lower lateral links will be a little different so it will throw off the alignment.

So I should replace my lateral links and it will help the camber issue?

Depends what is going wrong with your alignment but if your rubber bushings are bad in your control arms. Then you will have to drop the subframe to remove those rubber bushings as they are not accessible.

You have to inspect the whole rear suspension area, upper lower control arms bushings. All that has to be looked over to see what is going on

Will do. Thanks for the info. I’ll be back after I jack it up Monday at my job and take a good look
