So it appears I have a rear exhaust manifold leak . I can hear it and smell raw exhaust fumes since it leaking before the cat. Has anyone replaced the rear manifold and or gasket? If so please tell me it's similar to the front since I've removed that already lol. I'm gonna assume its way more difficult because of the location and lack of space.

Edit- I'm not 100 percent sure its the rear exhaust manifold, but its definitely coming from somewhere in that area.

Do you hear and smell it right away from a cold start or does it happen once it warms up?

I smell raw exhaust fumes all the time. Its not overbearing, but its there. As for noise.. There is a slight exhaust leak sound from that area when the motor is cold.

Mine smells when it gets warm. I need to change my rear valve cover gasket.
That's why I asked WHEN it occurs.
Leaking valve cover will produce raw exhaust fume smell? I thought that would be a oil burning smell.

Yes it is an oil burning smell. Slightly annoying but not unbearable.
