Rear exhaust ports rusty after winter

I think taking the bumper off is a bit extreme. I was looking on the GM Parts direct and they had a "exploded view" and those parts are separate pieces. They should be held on with bolts or the infamous rivets.

What type of polish did you use? A brand name if you recall, I would like to give it a go on mine. Thanks for the help and feedback.

The inner and outer pieces are both metal, as you can see in this pic, they are welded together.......

I can see but can't really tell from the pics - are those torx or allen screw? I think I would still pass a exhaust tip through there, Maybe paint the OEM port black to get the chrome tip to stand out! (I can picture it, I just need the time a $$$ to do it and both are in short supply now.)

Torx......don't remember which number.

Torx T-15 is a common size on other GM products. It may be different since it's based on a German Opel.

Thanks! I'll have to put that project off until the spring. But I will post any updates!
