2015 Buick Regal Premium I - 2.0L Turbo
Been looking for a good OBD II Scanner that won't break the bank.
I'd like it to have Free Lifetime Updates if possible.
So far I don't need it for my Regal, but my Daughter's Equinox is in
need of me running a scan.
Her boyfriend has an OBD II Scanner, I asked him to scan it for me, but that was
over a week ago that I asked him.
My daughter drives her twins everywhere and I'd hate for her SUV to
break down while with the twins.
TIA

I use BlueDriver. It serves its purpose with me very well, but can go quite in-depth on diagnostics and other things. It costs $100 (I think), and the Canadian company that owns them updates it for free. It even offers "top reported fixes" when showing you what codes the car has, with links to Amazon. It's a nice start when diagnosing a problem, in my opinion.

I've looked for an OBD II Scanner before, but never bought one (keep putting it off).
I do remember looking at the BlueDriver, kinda forgot about it (It did get pretty good reviews).

I ended up taking my daughter's Equinox over to O'reilly's today and having
them scan it for me.
I looked at their Innova Scanners while I was there.
Turns out that her High Pressure Fuel Pump is going out and needs changed.
It was a $322.99 for the part, so the OBD II Scanner is back on hold for a while.
She also needs part of her Exhaust done too, about another $170.
Just trying to help my daughter out a little (I can do the work but the cost is
killing me).

On the good side, I got to buy a new tool.
I needed the tool to pop the High Pressure Fuel Line off.
Just bought a cheap set, but it should work for this job.
I used to have this Tool, but someone borrowed it and never brought it back.

Also looks like my Regal Repairs are put on hold, yet again.
Not really repairs, more like Preventive Maintenance.
I have about $700 worth of parts in my Cart at Rock Auto, been there for months and months.

I didn't know that GearWrench made OBD II Scanners.
I now have a Link for that Scanner marked so I can take a look at them when I've got the money again.

I've got 2 x 56pcs GearWrench Ratcheting Screwdriver Set (Link Below) and also a set
of GearWrench Ratcheting Wrenches (including Stubbys), (Link Below).
GearWrench 82779 56 Pc. Ratcheting GearDriver Screwdriver Set
GearWrench 85034 34 Pc. 72-Tooth 12 Point Standard & Stubby Ratcheting Combination SAE/Metric Wrench Set

The GearWrench Ratcheting Screwdriver Set is the Best Ratcheting Screwdriver Set I've ever had.
I won's say it's the best Ratcheting Screwdriver I've ever had, but it is the best set.
I own a Snap-On Ratcheting Screwdriver that is awesome, but it doesn't offer the
ability to use sockets like the GearWrench Set does!
I picked up the 2 screwdriver sets at Sears for $15 each about 10-15 years ago.
I think this Screwdriver Set is currently going for around $70 on sale, but normally goes for around $155.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendations.

I Just Ordered a GearWrench Professional Bi-Directional OBD II Scanner.
I've Download the Software to my iPhone, now just need the Scanner.
Obviously I'm not in a huge hurry, but I would like to have one the next time
I need one.

I changed out the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my Daughter's Equinox and
it's been running fine ever since (no idiot lights are on either).
I'm grateful that O'reily's scanned it for me and had the part in stock.
Could have gotten the part much cheaper at RockAuto, but she needs her
SUV daily to haul around her Rug Rats.

Hopefully the New Tool in my Box (OBD II Scanner) just sits there and collects dust.
But at least I'll now have an OBD II Scanner the next time I need one.
Once it gets here I will scan my Regal, just to familiarize myself with it (setting
up the APP).

I was also going to order the parts I have in my cart at RockAuto for my Regal,
but they are again out of the Strut-Plus (Front Left) SR4477.
So, this work is again on hold until I can order these parts.
The Weather is near perfect to work on this (finally), highs in the upper 60's
and lower 70's with no rain in the forecast for over a week.

Got my GearWrench OBD II Scanner on Tuesday.
I finally had a few minutes to play with it Tuesday, Updated it, then scanned my Regal.
It showed I had a few problems that I didn't even know I had.

1. Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)
1. C0045-18 - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit - Low Signal (History)
2. C0045-0F - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit - Signal Erratic (History)

I'm sure this was fixed when I Replaced the Wheel Bearings and Brakes last Fall.
I knew that I had a problem with the Wheel Bearings so I replaced them.
I also Cleaned the Speed Sensors with Contact Cleaner while I was Replacing the Wheel Bearings.

2. Body Control Module (BCM)
1. B260B-04 - Left Daytime Running Lamp Relay Control Circuit - Circuit Open (Current)
2. B260C-04 - Right Daytime Running Lamp Relay Control Circuit - Circuit Open (Current)

This could possibly have to do with the LED Bulbs that are installed.
They DRL's are working, but for some reason they're giving me the Relay Control Circuit - Circuit Open message?

3. Instrument Cluster
1. B3622-39 - Steering Wheel Controls Signal Circuit - Internal Malfunction
(Current)

All of the Controls on the Steering Wheel are working just fine as far as I can tell.
Cruise Works (Set and Resume), Radio Controls Work (Volume, Programmed Channels), Navigation Buttons,
Heated Steering Wheel, Horn Works. I've never used the Button on the left that looks like someone talking
or the Button that looks like a phone I use Siri on my iPhone to Call or Text while driving). I've also never used
the two buttons on the Right and Left Plus Sign that have to do with the Cruise Control (see pic below).
I'm pretty sure I'd get Separate Codes if the Air Bag wasn't working!

4. Radio Controls (RC)
1. U150E-00 - LIN Bus
(History)
2. U150F-00 - LIN Bus (History)

I wish the Codes that were in the History were dated, it would make it much easier to figure
out what was done to fix the problem.
I'm assuming the Speed Sensor problem was taken care of when I Cleaned the Speed Sensors while
replacing the Wheel Bearings.
Not sure what happened in the other History Cases (U150E-00 and U150F-00), maybe it was before
I bought the car (dates sure would have been nice)?
