Removing turbo

And I could buy a $10K LS1 Fbody and spend $10K in mods and demolish your 1LE on the strip, the track, or the street for half the price. What's the point in having a $/hp pissing contest here? Let the guy enjoy his car. It's not like he's trying to build a single digit Chevy Spark. People have gone far more radical with the LNF then what he's doing.

GTR's driver face is priceless after playing to the Cobalt..lol

I'm super impressed with what Kranz has done so far, but I'd like to lay a challenge out there... who will be the first to buy all the parts necessary to add AWD to their GS?

The same F40 manual trans is used in the AWD cars in Europe (except with the output for the rear drive, of course)... should bolt right up. Front half-shafts, shift cables, clutch hydraulics, etc. are probably also bolt-up.

Would need to buy the new trans, driveshaft, rear diff, rear half-shafts, rear hub assemblies.

Hopefully nothing (exhaust, fuel lines, fuel tank, etc.) are in the way of the AWD parts when put onto a U.S. car.

It 'might' not be that bad of a retrofit.

Once the 2014's hit, all the parts except for the AWD F40 manual trans should be available from local dealerships (driveshaft is likely different too I suppose).

If the 'center diff' is electronically controlled in the F40, that might pose an electronics/computer problem also.

Don't let me down Kranz! (just kidding... you've done enough already to earn my respect, but this mod would be so awesome).
