Resetting the Change Oil Light

Anybody know how in the heck to reset the "Change Engine Oil" light on the 2003 Rendezvous? Thanks in advance!

Is it one with the Drivers Information system? or a light on dash?

If it does not have the DIC, turn ignititon key to on but engine off, fully push and release the gas pedal slowly 3x within 5 secs., turn key off, should be reset, if not try again. With DIC hold reset button in at oil life setting in the DIC till you see XXX% and let go.

I've attempted all of the reset procedures - from pressing the brake pedal 3, 5, and 7 times and it will not stay off. It'll go out, but seconds after turning the car over, the light will come back on solid, it'll stay on for about 45 seconds, and go out. Does anyone have any other "procedures" for resetting the indicator. I'm wondering if there is a sensor that might be defective. Appreciate any assist with this.
