Buick Ownership
2012 GS
I was getting an oil change at the dealer and the salesmen told me they might come out with a Rivera based on the CTS coupe. Did anyone else here of this? Sounds like a great idea to me.

Something at least the size of the CTS Coupe would work nicely for a new Buick Riviera - but no smaller. The Riviera was rarely a small car. I think the only "small" generation was the mid to late 80s.

I agree with all your comments. The Riviera should look like the 2007 Concept and should have a unique design with all those features. It should be a small coupé. Maybe a cabriolet and/or a roadster version should come after that like the Mercedes SLS AMG? Who knows.

A GS version would be nice!

With the introduction of the Chevy SS again based on that Holden chassis and CTS chassis there is probably a move to bring a V8 RWD to buick as well. So I would expect this to happen.

I also think the Riviera needs to be a CTS size car. The car was always fairly large and would fill a fairly empty spot in the market. Large also means you can fit a 3.8 turbo in it. Woohoo!
