Buick Ownership
'96 Roadmaster Collector's Edition
When I first found this site it seemed there were a lot more of us on here and a lot more posts. I just wanted to introduce myself and my Buick and hope more do the same.

I'm Adam, 39, from southern Ohio. I drive a MAB 96 RMS, pretty much stock except for homemade CAI, air foil, E3 plugs, Taylor wires, 2 1/2" dual exhaust with x-pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, Power Stop drilled & slotted front rotors, PCMforLESS tune with deletes, and white letter tires(stock size). Hoping for more improvements soon, but for now, I'd just like to fix all the problems.

I just wanted to introduce myself and my Buick and hope more do the same.

I joined this forum a few days ago. About a month ago I acquired a 1993 RMW, a rust-fee California car. Runs good, no leaks, 4L60 rebuilt this year, white exterior, woodgrain applique delete, light beige cloth interior. Odometer shows 217,300 miles. Non-stock items include 17" American Racing wheels, dark-tinted windows, lowered via dropped spindles in front and shorter springs in back, level control disabled. The production date was: Julian===2244 Anyone know how to convert that to calendar date?

The only reason I am here is because of my two 1994 Buick Roadmaster Limited sedans, although I have owned quite a few 1960s and 1970s Buick in my life as well.

I guess this site has been slowing down as there are fewer and fewer of these cars on the road. I own a 1992 RMS with 133k on it. It has really low mileage b/c I ride a motorcycle 95% of the time. The car stays under the carport until it rains. I love Roadmasters and I would love a low mileage 92 or 93 wagon but the wife would think I'd gone crazy.

I just joined today after lurking for a year or so. I've got a 93 RMS Limited with 133000 miles on it that is my Summer driver. I'm the second owner and bought it last year from the original owner. No rust and all stock. Great driving car!

"Julian===2244 Anyone know how to convert that to calendar date?"

2 is for 1992, 244 is the 244th day of the year which was Monday Aug 31st, 1992.

1994 RM base 157k, was a one owner when I got it 3 yrs ago. Everything is stock for now. First thing I did was replace the opti due to stumble off idle. Still does it. Also have a 1991 Park Avenue 180k. Both driven regularly.

"Everything is stock for now. First thing I did was replace the opti due to stumble off idle. Still does it."

Did you not replace the original wires??

Recently found this site, currently on my second RMS, it's a 92 Limited white with red interior and 117k on the clock. I traded a $100 322k mile Mustang plus 200 cash for it back in September when it had 112k miles. So far I've taken the vinyl top off because I feel they're atrocious, swapped the original radio out for a new one and did away with the cat. The other 92 Limited Sedan I had a few years ago was one with the highly sought after "towing package" (didn't know it at the time but I regret it even more now), it was a hideous straw color with matching interior and 168k miles on it. I only paid the guy $800 and drove it everywhere, now I have it's replacement and I've been trying to figure all the ins and outs of it. As I'm working through it I'll be posting about it, turns out it's a shot in the dark looking up info on the 91-93 RMs. Keep the Buicks coming everybody, they're becoming rarer and rarer everyday.

That is a sharp car / color combination with the vinyl top removed. I always like the first generation instrument cluster better too.

Hi All, just found and signed onto this Buick Forum today, February 12th. I am surprised as to how little activity is going on. I guess Buicks are very dependable .
I have two. A 1972 Skylark Custom Convertible. Screaming yellow, black top and interior. Bought her new. Just turned 90k. and a 2015 Regal GS . Turbo, 20's ( with extra wheel and tire insurance) which is mamma's ride. Bought it new in 2015, has 75k on the odo already. In addition I own a Jaguar XK8 and I am on a Jaguar Forum. What is good for Buick it seems is bad for Jaguar. Jaguar as in the past is very temperamental. Sometimes they run, sometimes they don't. Reason for lots of activity on their web site. You have to be able to turn a wrench to own one. I keep both cars running going to various local car shows. Well Hi all. Hope to contribute where I can. Rich
