I experiance a rough idle on occasional times. Sometimes when engine is cold and sometimes when up to temperature. Car be in park or in gear. Most notable in gear. As I said, it's an occasional thing. Doesn't do it all the time. I tried cleaning the MAFS and the Throttle body. And to no avail, same problem. I did notice some oil in the airflow tube next to the throttle body and in the throttle body. After cleaning it, I still had a slight roughness but not as bad. Drove it for 50 miles and the problem is back. I seen some older posts from 2012 to 2015 but none from 2019. Anyone or Buick figure out problem yet ?

how many miles on the engine?

Add some fuel system cleaner to the gas tank next time you fill it up. I use it at every oil change interval and it keeps my car running smooth. Lucas or Chevron is the best brand to use.

Thanks. I'll try that on next fill up

Update on the rough idle. The fuel injector cleaner did the job. For the most part. I put in Redline Fuel Injector Cleaner. Its top of the line over the counter you can find at any Auto parts store. The Check Engine light went off and has been off for a week now and most but not all of rough idle is gone. It has it every so often. With that said, I'm taking it in to dealership for a Special Warranty work ( timing chain, fuel pump noise ) and having them put in the Best full strength stuff in fuel rails to finish it up. It's obvious that after reading, the oil MUST BE CHANGED every time that reminder comes on AND put in fuel injector. These Buick motors will go bad if you dont. Keep up with the service and maintenance and the car/engine will run fine. Dont keep up like I did, and you get the problems.

You never mentioned the check engine was on. Were you able to read the code ?

Once you get the fuel pump noise and timing chain taken care of see how it runs then. It seems like you have other issues going on besides clogged injectors. Codes P0172 & P0300 could be from a fuel delivery problem with the fuel pump.

They are replacing the timing chain and fuel pump.

Just got car back from Buick dealer. The issue for the rough idle was the faulty fuel pump. Oil had fuel in it due to bad fuel pump. The balance chain was replaced as well. All was under the Special Warranty Coverage. Didnt cost a thing and the car now runs smooth.

Now it's on to changing transmission. Fluid

Glad to hear the problem is fixed. Hopefully the fuel in the oil didn't damage the internal moving parts since it thins out the oil.

I have been informed by GM, Buick service center, the rough idle is caused by the A/C compressor. They supposedly found a service bulletin concerning this. Idle is the main culprit. I really have an issue with the A/ C compressor causing this. Is the idle too slow at 600 rpm, or is the compressor have a defect Buick is afraid to expose. This started and continues after 300+- miles on brand new vehicle.
If this is deal excuse, please let me know, I don't buy it, but may be correct

If you need an actual resolution to your problem it would probably be best to continue to work with your Buick dealer. Maybe find a different dealer if you think you're not getting good service.
You posted to a user forum and also posted to the wrong forum.
This one is for 2011-2017 Regals. There is a separate Envision forum that would be a better fit.
