I've got an 2006 Buick LaCrosse 3.8 V6. Over time gravel, grease and other stuff has built up under the hood. Is it safe to powerwash? I want to get the dirt and grime built-up behind the rad and on the front of the engine. I'm not planning on using a degreaser of any type - just the car wash soap.

Thanks,
Frank

unless you use an engine shampoo you are wasting your time, plus I would not use a pressure washer but the garden hose instead:thumpsup:

Frank,
Do not use a pressure washer. You will get water where its not welcomed especially in the electronics. Try going to Motorweek.com, Pat goss has a way of cleaning under the hood without getting in trouble with the electronics.
Hope this helps
John

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I may stick with a brush and warm, soapy water. I'll checkout the Motor Week site, Pat usually has some good stuff.
