Seatbelt extender/ presenters

Does anybody have information on the seatbelt extenders? Or the presenters? Wife’s seatbelt presenters will not extend. I did hear a grinding or I will gear sound.
That’s on the driver side the extender or presenter does not work on the passenger side.

If you Cascada has extenders that protrude when the ignition is engaged. The retractor an extender on the belt itself is fine it’s like mechanical arm that pops out about 8 inches on a convertible Casca Cascada
