I like to stretch my left leg while driving but the mats only go up so far. I do like the GS carpet mats but I don't like putting my foot on the floor carpet with something over it. I want to keep my mats, so what has everyone done to cover that area under the pedals where the mats don't cover?

When I first got the car, the dealer threw in a set of $23.95 rubber mats they sell in their service department and I just laid them over the carpet mats. But they don't fit all that well and are not of good quality, so I pulled them out. I picked up a pair of Rubbermaid brand carpet/rubber mats on sale locally that are more substantial and can be tailored to fit much better. They seem to be doing a better job of staying in place and covering most of the floor area. A set of liners would be the ultimate but these cost about 1/6th of those and seem to be doing the job.

Spend the $100 on your $30k car and get a set of Lloyd's mats. They fit perfectly and are worth every penny. I have them in 3 of my cars. I like them better than the oem mats, however, they do not go up the left foot rest. Autoanything.com seems to have the best prices on these.

Sorry...they are dirty.

I hear ya. I do like Lloyd's mats. I've had them in a few of my cars, also. I just happen to like the oem's as well. I'll just get some cheap clear rubber mats and put it under the oem so it reaches the top. And when I decide that the oem's have run their course I'll get some Lloyds.
Thanks, guys.

I bought them here:

http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/79A4424A0A0.aspx

Looks like they are offering a 12% discount until 6/7/13. Code is mats12. Brings total to $79.11 shipped for 4 mats.

Make sure if you order, only get black. The lighter colors will discolor with wear. I have the light grey ones in my c230 and they have dirt stains that won't come off.
