2007 Allure
I have a 2007 Buick Allure in Canada and the OEM radio is Not XM ready and the module was not installed. It has the BAND and CAT buttons that I am reading it needs for the kits.

What I am not sure of what kit I need to buy to have XM/Sirius controlled by the OEM radio. Is it possible to buy the OEM module and what harness would I need?

I don't want to mount another radio or XM display in the car. I called the GM dealer where I bought the car and they weren't much help saying they couldn't do it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I was just looking at the manual for your car and it says nothing about having to install a module for XM to work other than a subscription. Are you sure your car needs one?

It does not have a module or a wiring harness. The dealer says they cannot install one. I know it can be done for the 2007 lacross but unable to find anything on the allure.

Is there that much difference between the Allure and the Lacrosse? Other than a few Canadian safety requirements I thought they were the same car. You would think if it could be done for the Lacrosse it could be done for the Allure. Do all Allures lack the module?

Dealer says wiring of radio will not allow it but I do not understand why.

I just noticed I made a mistake in my first post and said it was xm ready when I meant it was not.
