- 2011 Buick Regal
I purchased the 2011 Regal (Opel model) about two months ago and had all weather floor mats thrown in with it (They came two weeks later).
These mats however, have problems being mounted to the floor mounts.
There are two plastic holes on the front floor mats that "snap" on to the floor mounts.
The all weather floor mats were designed for Oshawa build units
If you own a 2011 Opel model, the floor mats will NOT snap to the floor mounts, no matter what you do. The holes are not the right fit. The all weather mats then slide around on the floor, especially getting in and out of the car.
If you own a Oshawa build model, the floor mats will snap in properly as the floor mounts have been changed out - no issues here.
SOLUTION:
1.) The plastic holes on the carpet mats that comes with the 2011 Regal (Opel model) can be removed. You won't be using these when you install the all weather floor mats.
2.) The plastic holes on the GM all weather floor mats cannot be removed, they have to be broken off.
3.) The plastic holes from that carpet mats that you just removed, can be snapped back together on the GM all weather floor mats.
4.) Now that the all weather floor mats have proper fittings to be snapped to the floor mounts. The broken plastic fittings from the all weather mats, and the carpet mats are useless now, do as you wish with them.
It took a bit of creativity to figure this one out. GM customer service did not know of this being an issue when I called them.
