I have the Verano 2.0 Turbo and overall happy with the car. It has run the battery dead 4 times, luckily I was at home. I think one or two times because I was on the phone when I exuted the vehicle- the green blutooth light will not turn off if the call is not transferred to phone before exiting.
The other reason I think is related to this: With keyless entry, a relay (or two) activate when the keyfob is close by-normal operation. Today, and numerous other times, I have been close to the car WITHOUT my keys, yer heard the relays activate. Both sets of keys are in the house, too far away. I think this is why I can charge a new battery fully, then let it sit overnight and it takes hours the next day to bring it back uo to charge. These relays are activating erroneously, drawing power. Has anyone heard of a solution for this?

You didn't write what model year your car is. If it's a 2013 or '14 Turbo, you should start with getting the electrical system load-tested and consider replacing the battery. I'm planning on replacing my battery by the end of this year. If you have a '15 or a '16 Verano Turbo, then you need to have the electrical system checked for some other flaw, the alternator, a loose battery cable, a bad system connection, etc.

I agree; you shouldn't hear the relays sound w/o your key fob(s) in proximity.

Thank you for your reply.
I have a 2014 Turbo and like it.
I just replaced the battery early this month.
Have you heard of the relays activation without a keyfob?

You should still get the rest of the electrical system load-tested and there's a chance the replacement battery could be defective. Good luck.

I have had my 2014 Buick Verano for 5 years with multiple issues. When I first purchased it (used) 23K miles less than year later the batter went dead. Towed to the nearest Buick dealership who stated the battery was dead and replaced it with a new one free of charge due to battery warranty. Within a year of this one being replace, I began to have electrical issues like the radio would not turn off, the seat warmers stopped working, lights would go on and off on the dash board, etc. Then my car began jerking really bad and then shut off but later come back on. Before I could get it back to the dealership, it completely shut off and I was told the engine wire harness was damaged. They said the battery was leaking fluid which damaged the harness and some of the modules. I was charged 1800 to replace this (extended warranty would not pay due to battery causing the issue) as well as purchasing a new battery. Now I am still having those same issues again with different lights coming on the dash board. Radio will not shut off immediately at times, will take up to 3-5 minutes max to turn off. This morning my battery was completely dead and had to get a jump from a neighbor. I told the Buick dealership the first time this happened that something with this car is causing the batteries to go bad. If this one goes dead again, their is no way that within 5 I should have 3 batteries go bad. Something is wrong with it and I can't get anyone to be honest with me about it.
I've also had other issues as well supposedly fixed by my local Buick dealership (said it was timing chain tensioner, then timing chain, then some small piece near timing chain) had to bring the car in 3 times and charged my extended warranty 3 times the 2nd and 3rd time, I had to pay $$ in addition to the extended warranty and that issue is not fixed as well because the car still makes a loud rattling noise for a few seconds on a cold start.

Have a 2014 Verano - dead battery on several occasions. Replaced battery with a 20 cranking amps higher and still same issue Intermittent no start. Charge batttery and vehicle starts. Wondering if not related to being on the phone when stopping the vehicle and something stays on causing a drain on battery. Definitely not the battery.

Check your rear and side detection modules right behind the bumper. seems that the connections to the sensor modules get corroded and short causing intermittent dead batteries intermittent starting and shutting off all around chaos to the electrical system. quick fix disconnect the module permanent fix clean out the connectors or replace all together and use a sealer on the connection.
