How hard is it to get the back spark plugs out on a 2008 Buick Lacrosse cx 3.8?

Have you bothered to look at the rear bank of the engine?

Others may feel differently but I prefer to remove a bracket in the rear bank (see the attached image) to permit easier access. The LeSabre's have this bracket, I assume the Lacrosse with the 3.8L does as well. While removing this bracket helps (in my view), if there was no boot lubricant previously applied to the spark plug boots, getting those off can be quite difficult even with a good spark plug boot removal tool. Some folks choose to destroy & replace the spark plug wires (choosing quick removal vs. taking the time to remove the 3 boots without damage). If I plan to replace the wires anyway, then I do whatever I have to do to get the boots off. But I make it a point to coat them with spark plug boot lubricant for the next time. Once you have the bracket & wires out of the way, a good work light and you don't mind being contortioned a bit, the plugs are not that difficult to access.

There is much less room back there on the Lacrosse. I have never had to remove a bracket on the full size cars. A lot of folks are changing spark plug wires anyway so feel free to cut them with diagonal cutters and use pliers to twist the boots off. You're basically going to do this by FEEL and not by sight.
When one of my brothers had a Regal he unbolted the dog bone mounts at the engine and used a ratchet strap to rotate the engine forward for better access.

Many times but I have never changed spark plugs on them before but when I bought the car it only had a little over 64000 miles on it so they were never changed it still runs great.I was just wondering how you would get them out?

My 2002 LeSabre had 155k miles on it when I bought it. When I changed the plugs they were platinum NOT iridium which tells me they could have been the original plugs. Even though it ran fine I always do a "tune up" when I buy a used car.

Done it on my lesabre 2 times already, its not as hard as some make it to be. Remove the engine cover, climb up there, try to get comfortable and do it.
