Hello All !
I had replaced My two front steel lines feeding the front hoses when I re-did My brakes. My car is a wisconsin car, & the fear of rust-through of the rest of the lines, is probable. I'd like to finish doing the steel lines under those circumstances. Need to do My rear brakes as well & planned on replacing the hydraulics as well - wheel cylinders, hose. Reading my factory shop manual, along with doing My front hose lines I've learned about the bubble flare lines on this car the rear lines going into the wheel cylinders off the brake hose, are standard flared lines - 3/16. I noticed the inlet on the rear hose is the bubble flare - I have to use & have 2 adapters to make a standard flare 1/4" line work. The local parts store does not have on hand the 1/4" bubble flare line lengths so my guess is i have to use standard 1/4" line with adapters. my intent, is to replace both the 3/16 & 1/4 lines from the proportioning valve, into the ABS control & the long 1/4 line going from the ABS control to the rear brake hose inlet - as i said - i already have adapters for that. Does anyone have a clue, as to if I will need adapters for the proportioning valve lines to the ABS control & the rear outlet line from the ABS control? I will double-check with the parts store with a more experienced person to be sure they cannot get 1/4 bubble flare line lengths. Thanks !
Rich.
