If you're looking for the mushy, wallowy ride of the Electras, LeSabres, and Park Avenues of old, you're probably out of luck. It's not going to go around curves on its door handles and you won't be able to turn the steering an eighth of a turn without any response from the front wheels. Those days, thankfully, are gone. Bear in mind these later LaCrosses have some German engineering at their core. The Epsilon platform originated with Opel, Although the extended variant on which the LaCrosse is based was never used by Opel it's nonetheless engineered for much more competent handling than the old school Buicks. To my mind, that's a good thing, but then, everything's subjective. For my tastes, my two 2013 LaCrosse eAssist hybrids strike a good balance between comfort and handling, responsive without being overly aggressive, and the leather edition does add some mice creature comforts, even if the pseudo-hybrid four-banger under the hood can hardly get out of its own way. Still, I'll take 35mpg on the highway as an equitable tradeoff.
