Okay - I'd like to throw out a reminder to everyone - especially those in the colder climes - that you need to check your heater/defroster to make sure that it's in good working order for the winter. We sort of ignore winter here in Florida and feel lucky that we can pretty much work outside year round without fear of frostbite.

Every cold season there are a bunch of folks that wind up having to deal with their heater issues - of course problems will come up - but they have to do their work out in the freezing cold.

So, I'd like to start a thread that everyone can contribute to regarding a heater system tune-up.

Check your hoses, thermostat, a heater system backflush on the driveway would be good, and make sure your antifreeze is topped off and mixed 50/50 or whatever is appropriate for your coldest winter temps.

boy, I need to get my heater/defroster controls working... having a wiring issue and I really need a good wiring diagram. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reminder, found it a week to late. Got cold here with snow. Turn on the heat and I think I have a leaky heater core. I have a smell and very humid with windows fogging up.
I checked this forum to find out how and if it's hard, only thing I could find was a post from 2012 that didn't get a single reply.
I need to replace(?) it, but can't find anyone who has done it to get some tips. I can't even picture what to do as I read the instructions.

Thank you for the caring reminder,
Chris.
