Tire size

I know this is a topic that gets beat to death. But My current tires were from a junkyard. I ordered a set and I’m wondering if anyone is running a 215 70 r15. The taller side wall makes me nervous. However the company website I used gave no other options.

that's the standard size listed for your car unless someone changed it to 16 inch rims at some point.

As stated above 215/70/R15 is one of only two tire wheel options on the Lesabre 225/60/R16 is the other size mine runs the 15's

What is the concern on the taller sidewall? Depending on location they actually are more practical for ride, pot hole blowouts or damaged rim's, also taller narrow tires perform better in snow than low profile wider tires.

Yep I balanced all that when I went custom wheels and the better ride with the extra 10% sidewall outweighed the more grip 225 so I stayed with 15's

Yep, P215/70R15 is what I've just put on my newly acquired '02 Custom.

what did you have, 215 /65,60, 02 205/70 or something? I would think the 215 60 15 is maybe common but... basically i dont know what say unless you can say your door placard states anything but 2157015?

I am just going to save a pic of your car as proof of why you would ever want something icky like a 15 inch wheel.

the wheels are nice and its also a good example of it not "hurting" a cars image like all these panzys seem to whine on about with sub 19 peasantry like you or I

Albeit, I never checked the door tag. But the junkyard tires were same size as the take offs at that time. I guess I’m just finally back to stock size. Thanks for the insight everyone.
