1984 came from the factory with 14" wheels using 205/75x14 or 15" wheels with 215/75x15 or 225/75x15. So the largest factory tire was the 225/75x15.Hi,new here I recently purchased a 1984 lesabre and would like to put the widest rear tire that will fit without rubbing. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you
Yea I guess that's what I was trying to figure out. How does one figure out what offset I can run?On the rear, width is only going to be limited by the wheel offset or spacers. You could run a 5 foot wide tire with the right offset.
I believe that was an exaggeration. The tire has to be within the width of the wheel well unless you make suspension modifications. You measure your current clearance and then determine what width you can use. Again largest factory used was 225.Yea I guess that's what I was trying to figure out. Again thanks for everyone's help
