Towing

Is it safe to tow with a 2016 Envision.
I read the manual and find it hard to believe it can tow 1500 pounds. Is there a trans cooler installed stock ?
Has anyone used it to tow and did it work out well ?

looking at the 2018 at the Buick site they have a Trailering Package, does your 2016 have the Trailering Package?

For towing a utility trailer, small boat, or jet ski it should be fine. We tow our 1,000 lbs Kawsaki 250X Ultra jetski and aluminum trailer a few miles to put it in the water. The furthest we go is one hour away on all highway and no hills without problems.

The Equinox and Terrain 2.0T can tow 3,500 lbs which is about the max you want to tow without an additional brake. But these two have a different transmission our 2016.

My 2004 Saab 9-5 wagon can tow 3,500 lbs. In the owners manual it says if transmission overheats to pull over and let it cool off. Then proceed on your way. Ive.tow 4,000 lbs for an hour of highway driving and at 180,000 miles it never missed a beat. The same car is rated to tow 4,000 l s in Europe.
