I have a 2007 Lacrosse with the 3800. Since I bought the car in Feburary, it's had this issue where it will shift fine in the beginning of my drive to work for example but when it warms up it'll start to clunk into every gear except third. It's not low fluid, I just replaced the cooling lines and fittings myself with lines from linestogo.com. Installation was great and easy but it didn't solve the issue either. I'm thinking it's down to maybe a computer/electrical issue possibly? Solenoids? I do all work myself but with this I'm at a loss. Any help?

You need to get a trans code scan. More than likely it will show an P01811. How many miles on the car/trans & has the trans fluid & filter ever been changed?

Guy I bought it from wasn't very informative about what the car went through, I bought it in Detroit. Didn't take care of it one bit. 183,000 on the car now and I'm gonna say the same or close to the trans as well. I have a scanner but I've never picked up that code or any code for my transmission. I just changed filter and pan gasket a few weeks ago myself

For about 50 bucks and an hour or so of labor you should install the TransGo shift improvement kit. You were already in there so it’s just a few more bolts to remove the accumulator and install the springs and spacers that come with the kit. It’s worth a shot.😉

Unless your OBD2 scanner says it can do transmission codes most don't so it may require a professional transmission scan.

At 183k with unknown maintenance history, depending on what condition the fluid was that was drained burnt, brown or material, that it was changed with new filter and doesn't seem to help it may just be at the end of life.
