Hi all I am interested in doing a flush & refill on my 2.0T tourX 9 speed transmission, I've had a look on this forum but cannot locate a step-by-step procedure. Is there a location for the return line or is that not recommended? any advice would be helpful.

I live in Australia, this vehicle is known here as a Holden Commodore ZB. I assumed you had the 9 speed there too.

TourX in the US was only available 2.0T, AWD, and with the 8 speed.

I am assuming your's is 9 speed, front wheel drive?

Hey Moto, did you end up finding a guide anywhere? About to do mine.

Hello, I'm trying to get the transmission flushed on my 2019 buck regal tourx, and the dealer says that to get the OEM Acdelo oile it costs 72 dollars per quart which seems insane I've talked to my auto part stores near by and they all seem to say pentosin is the same oil and will work plus i can get it for 50 dollars per gallon. anyway, has anyone done this yet i wanna know what other people are doing because i dont wanna pay 1000 doallers in oil just to flush my transmission oil. From what i understand the car has a toyota transmission in it anyway so couldn't i ask a Toyota dealer what oil they use for that transmission and be just as good i dont know need help

I tried to post a link to Faye Hadley's YouTube video of "How to change the fluid in a sealed transmission".
Faye is on All Girls Garage tv show here in the US. She is also an ASE certified mechanic, and worked at a Toyota dealership.
A lot of Toyota's are equipped with the same Aisin transmission that we have in the SB / TourX. Toyota specifies WS transmission fluid for their transmissions, and Aisin specifies AW-1. If you get a fluid with those designations, you should be good to go.

I had my transmission flushed earlier this summer (GS). Buick dealer charged 200 less a discount coupon I had received in the mail. From what I understand this is a normal rate so your dealer would appear to be a crook.

The GS uses a GM in-house 9 speed automatic transmission which uses Dexron fluid. Dexron fluid is much cheaper than GM's AW-1 fluid.

The best thing to do for the 8 speed automatic is source Aisin's WS fluid, Toyota's WS fluid or a full synthetic ATF which meet's Toyota WS specs.

My '19 Sportback with GM 9-spd 9T50 did NOT like the Valvoline DexVI that was claimed licensed and approved by GM. Immediate shudder problems. Replaced that immediately with ACDelco 10-9244/88865618 DexVI (indicated as original factory fill) and have been using that for several years now with no problems. It's pretty cheap too at about $30/gal from Amazon. I just drain fluid from the bottom and CAREFULLY measure what comes out and replace with that exact amount - usually about 5-6 qts. Not a flush but a drain and fill - I do it yearly. There is correct procedure that requires getting the new fluid to about 185 degrees F and filling until it just starts to dribble out the side level plug hole - but at this time I have no way to measure the TFT (Transmission Fluid temp), so just replace EXACTLY what I drain out.

That's a completely different transmission than what's in the TourX and uses a completely different fluid.
