Transport Mode

Only the plant can activate that mode.
Turning it off is part of the New Vehicle Inspection that a dealer tech would do, like checking the fluids, removing the protective plastic, etc.

New owner and learning about my 2015 Lacrosse. I found that this Transport Mode is user configurable. You can turn it on or off at will. The procedure from the GM TSB is as follows:
To turn the Transport Mode On/Off, it will be necessaryto start the vehicle, activate the hazard flashers, pressthe brake pedal (automatic transmission) or clutchpedal (manual transmission) then press and hold theStart/Stop button or turn the ignition key to the crankposition for 15 seconds. (The engine will turn OFF onpush button vehicles.) The same steps are used to turnon the feature.
Here is link to the TSB:
Transport Mode On/Off
I am thinking of using this when I leave my car at the airport for an 8 day trip. Does anyone have experience with this? Pros/Cons?

No experience with this mode as I'd not even heard of it until now. Thanks for posting info/link etc.

I do leave my '15 parked for extended periods. Sounds like a useful feature.
