Trunk opening turns on headlights

When ever I open the trunk on my 2010 Lucerne the head lights come on for a few seconds. How do I turn this feature off? I do not want or need the head lights coming on when every I open the trunk.

Does this happen only in the garage or does it also happen in bright sunlight ??

Might be able to turn it off in the setting menu. The check boxes by your trip button.

You'll have to turn off approach lighting.

Problem solved. The car was in the garage each time I opened the trunk. Thanks for the help.

Glad you got it figured out... 🙂
If you use the remote and open the trunk in the garage... the lights will come on...
If you use the button on the dash to open the trunk... the lights WILL NOT come on..
