Trunk randomly opens

Started happening right after trying a different car wash. If you open the back door it also opens the trunk, however if you attempt to open the trunk the touchpad does not work ~ unless you walk away...then 2 minutes later it randomly opens again.

Frustrating as the car is a 2011 and just hit 16,000 mile. The dealership is stating that the part is $451.00.

I appears that with the amount of complaints on this topic that it should be part of some recall as it is definitely a defect.

Did you search the forum? There are hundreds of threads on the "trunk opens" topic. My dealer replaced my relay switch with a "double-shot" relay under warranty, and, although the problem did not completely disappear, my trunk seldom randomly opens now.
