Turbo replacement

When did they switch to the revised oil line and full synthetic?
2016. Both mine had the revised version and got a note from GM to go from dexos 1 blend to full synthetic sometime summer of 16 but I had already switched. Put 1000 Kms on my new Encore then changed the oil to synthetic and synthetic hepa oil filter.

I already run full synthetic. Does the oil feed line need to be replaced?

I didn't know about blended synthetic until today, I've just been using full synthetic. But you've got me curious about the oil feed line because I have a 2015. Do you know if they had the revised one as well? And where would I be looking to check?

The 2015 had first design but you ever brought it back to the dealer they may have changed it because there was a bulletin. It runs from the engine block under the manifold to the top of the turbo block. If it is wrapped with a foil covered insulation it's the new version with 2 "O" rings. The 2 "O" rings stopped from leaking at the block and the insulation would stop the non synthetic from coking inside the part of the pipe close to the exhaust manifold.

That isn't a 1.4l Encore engine, at least I don't recognize it.
My bad, I just realized that I wasn't in the Regal forums 😆 I had a originally replied to the OP saying that my Regal limits the revs just like his Encore.

GM would have made a fortune and it probably would have made better fuel economy, because that 2 liter turbo was the best ecotec ever produced by GM.

Very true. It was the highest power to displacement ratio engine ever put in a Buick. I can't wait to get some mods and a tune.

I'll bet, those things weigh nothing.
