2002 Park Ave Ultra
Hi everyone. I have a 02 Ultra and the unibody rail is rusted out on the drivers side. The rust is not near the cradle mounts and they are solid. I have cut out the rusted area and it looks reparable to me. I’m just looking too see if anyone has safely repaired this and the process they used. I did search the forums but didn’t find much. Thanks!

I have a 1990 Electra Park Avenue I’m currently having worked on and it’s rusted below as well but I am going to have an auto body repair shop work on it and do some bondo and spray the bottom with black rust inhibitor 🤷‍♂️ unless they tell me something different. My mechanic said it’s not a big deal and especially for the winter roads with all the salt. Once mine is done it’s not going to see any winter and the like. Good luck with yours! Happy Thanksgiving!

This is no issue at all, it's easily accessible and already cut out and cleaned. Just make sure you match the thickness of the rail and it'll be fine.
