My 2011 Regal has been losing the USB connection when plugging my iPhone in to play music.

The USB and AUX slide out in little cartridges so it’s easier to plug the cable into. I’m guessing over 10 years the cartridge is loose on the bottom where it rotates causing the wire to be loose inside.

Has anyone ever replaced the USB port or had a similar issue?

Found a replacement part for it but can’t get the old part off. Cracked a few pieces of the plastic trying to get it off but it’s on there pretty good.

Any ideas?

Huh... that’s wayyyy different than the 2012 AUX/USB setup.
On the 12 it’s just a USB that plugs into the bottom of the port and clips into the console. Have you tried pressing in on the arrow part? I know those are occasionally clips.

i’m also having issues with this but mine works (somewhat) when connecting my charger to it and to my phone it will charge my phone perfectly. but it won’t be used as “ipod” for music. and also it switches to “aux connected” every 5-10 mins. even when it isn’t connected. i tried disconnecting the whole thing of aux. still no luck

Sorry, no help here.
The 2015 Regal is totally Different, there's two connections on the bottom.
It was a real PITA to switch out also, no room for your fingers
and not enough cable on the connectors.
