Does anybody know if the GS swaybars fit? Do they fit AWD models only? Other than say an adjustable suspension, does the geometry of the GS differ fundamentally from a Sportback or a TourX?

The sway bar question has a few posts, use search function in this forum, not sure what if anything has been posted as a option.

There are Eibach sway bars that I currently have on order from Poland. ... best pricing with exchange rate and shipping. There is nothing on this upgrade on the site. The front and rear sway bar kit is FWD only. Eibach does not offer a kit for AWD.... not sure why.

The Eibach kit is 28 mm front and rear. Stock is 27mm front and if I remember correctly rear was 19mm. I will measure both again tomorrow and correct the post if needed.

I will post more in a new thread when they arrive.

I am also working on H&R coilovers and Ultra Racing subframe braces and strut tower bar.

I may not do the H&R depending on the improvement I see out of the other additions.

Thanks for the replies. I did do a search from this forum on sways but found no decent
info. The Eibach kit sounds interesting, but only 1mm difference may not do much.
A strut tower brace would be nice. Ive installed them on a Mustang and Z28 and they
made a difference.

I installed Moog poly bushings in stock sizes on my convertible and was very happy with the improvement 😎

1. GS has same sway bars as the other AWD models because it uses electronically controlled dampers to improve handling.
2. Rear sway bar is different between AWD and FWD due to different mounting points and shapes as a result of the different suspension designs for each drive option. This is why the upgraded sway bar options will not fit the AWD models.
3. Only option for AWD vehicles is the H&R lowering springs from Germany or coilovers.

I should have mentioned my Regal is FWD. Any bar upgrades for that?

Eibach.
Also, I believe the Malibu has an upgrade kit through Chevy. The Malibu and FWD Regal have the same suspension setup.

Jwmsa thanks. I did wonder if the malibu parts would cross over.
Years ago when they where G bodies, many things would cross
over.

Are coilovers even an option? I thought I only saw them available for the A variant.
Yes. H&R has a coilover setup. I am currently working with H&R USA to get a set. Would you like to know more?

My memory did not serve me. The OEM rear bar is 22mm.

Do they have them for FWD and AWD?

You guys are giving me flashbacks to my VW. My old ass can’t handle rough rides anymore. Coils on MN roads are good for my chiropractor only.

Good research, though.

The OP inspired me to reread reviews of the Vauxhall version of the GS. I found a couple of different outfits that claim the Insignia GSi has unique swaybars (Vauxhall Insignia GSi review 2018 | The Car Expert , for instance). I'm halfway tempted to try and harass a Vauxhall dealer's parts department for confirmation at some point.

Eibach.

Does that include springs?
