What did you do to your Regal today?

I had the brake fluid flushed on my 2016 T2.
I didn't really know that you're supposed to do that on somewhat regular schedule, mine had never been done.
I don't have a lot of miles on it, but it's more of an age thing from what I understand.

Glad the Contact Cleaner did the trick Olsmokie.
Real PITA when things don't work the way they are intended.

I've never Flushed a Car/Truck/SUV Brake Fluid before.
Guess I never knew that you were supposed to, but it does make sense.
I have seen people on TV Car Shows Flushing the brake system, but that
was normally on a car that had been sitting for years or the fluid had
been contaminated.
Flushing the Brake Fluid may be on the agenda soon.

The Shocks, Struts and Springs I've been wanting to replace have been
put on hold for a little while again, had to buy a New Washer today.
I'm a little broke after the New OEM Wheels, New Tires and now the
New Washer.
My Regal looks a lot better with the New Wheels (NO Curb Rash) and
is handling much better with the new tires.

Finally got around to replacing my broken center console sliding cup holder cover. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. Just clips to pop with a trim tool and unhooking a couple of wires to get the console insert out and then just a few 7mm screws to remove the actual cup holder. Tracks were pretty dirty and the old cover was very brittle. Cleaned up with some dry silicone lube and good as new. Small victories.

GS750,
Glad you were able to replace the Rolling Cupholder Cover.
These cars are much easier to work on than what you'd expect,
but it helps to know if you need to Pry or Remove a Bolt/Screw!

I Kinda' forgot my car has one of those Rolling Cupholder Covers.
It hasn't been closed in the 6 years I've owned the car.
I do pretty much use the Cupholders on a regular basis.
I always have Non-Spillable Containers in my car and I never
ever eat in the car.
If I buy something to eat at a Restaurant, it stays in the bag until
I return home, or I arrive at the destination I was headed to.
Very rarely do I buy a Pop at a Fast Food Place, normally if I do it
sits in the cupholder until I'm home.

Had a nice cool day today, so I went out and Changed my Oil and Filter today.
The Oil and Filter have been sitting in my garage for months, but my oil wasn't
even close to needing changed when I brought it home.
My Wife's SUV was due, so I bought hers, my daughters and mine all at the same time.

I also did a little cleaning under the hood while I was at it.
This summer as been Extremely Dry, Dusty and Smokey and it all looked like it
was under my hood!
I didn't do a great job, but it does look better!

I really wanted to buy new KYB Struts-Plus Assemblies, KYB Shocks w/Mounts and Rear Springs.
I already purchased New Front and Rear Sway Links and Rear Spring Insulators (Not installed yet).
I only want to tear my car apart once!

Earlier this spring/summer, I purchased and had installed New OEM Wheels & AC Delco TPMS Sensors.
I also purchased a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 and had them mounted and balanced
on the new wheels with the new sensors.

I was about ready to order the struts, shocks and springs when our Clothes Washer bit the dust,
(back in June) that put this order on hold.
Just a day or two ago, I finally paid off our house (over $3,000), I still have enough $$$$ to place
my order at Rock Auto, but it looks like the Drivers Side Strut-Plus isn't currently available.
I've looked all around and it looks like the Drivers Side Strut-Plus is on Backorder everywhere.
I could purchase it locally for about $400, but it's hard to spend that much when Rock Auto sells
them for $165 (I'm sure there is a plentiful supply at almost $400).
Well, I guess my Fall Project is on hold yet again (I was going to do this last fall but ran short on cash).

Oil and filter change today at 81k miles. I'm now trying Valvoline Restore & Protect. I'll pull the new ACDelco filter at about 1500 miles to see what kind of junk is being dislodged.

I'd seen that Valvoline 5w30 was still dexos rated. Unfortunately I didn't see that 5w30 R&P doesn't meet the spec. Bummer. Time for a 2 mile oil change I guess. Thanks for the heads up.

I have used it with no problems, excellent oil ( Valvoline Restore & Protect ) for over a year now

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to try it unless it has Dexos.
In 6-7 years, I haven't taken my car any place to have the oil changed, other than a GM Dealership.
There's no telling what oil they use, the GM Dealers will have and use Oils with Dexos (only).
But I've been doing my own oil changes ever since our son quit working at
our local Buick Dealership (he started his own business, not car related).

I did like having our son working at the dealership, I knew he wouldn't let them screw us on repairs.
I normally do the repairs myself, but there are some repairs I'm not willing to do.

The Dexos label indicates that the oil meets a specific set of requirements.
It is a not a separate additive substance, it's certification a product meets the Dexos requirements.

Gave her a good washing today. 😎

Mine sure could use a good washing, so much dust around here lately.
Then, my neighbor's tree is dripping Sap on my car, never had this problem
from this tree before.
I quit parking under the Maple Tree in front of our house because of the
Birds and the Sap, but I've never had a problem with the neighbors Tulip
Tree (I've never parked my Regal under the Maple Tree, it was the Ford Taurus
I used to own)

Maybe I can get around to washing my car a little later today, only time will tell?
I always seem to be helping our children, grandchildren, neighbors, etc..., with
Little or No Time for myself.
Today, I've got to go over and sit at our oldest daughter's new condo so the cable
company can hooked up the cable (she moves in this Saturday).
I also have a big Home Depot Box to put in her garage (it was delivered here
instead of her new house).

Well, managed to get outside and Wash my Regal before picking up my granddaughters.
Got a call from my daughter while I was dropping off my granddaughters, the cable guy
was on his way to her condo.
I rushed home, picked up the Home Depot Box and headed over to her condo.
I was at her condo for 3 hours, waiting for the cable guy to finish, no place to sit!
While I was there, lawn maintenance came thru and trimmed and cut the brown grass
of all the neighbors yards and our daughters too!
Now my car needs washed again!

the Valvoline R&P meets an exceeds Dexos requirement( just not Dexos approved by GM) my car has over 90k and runs like new

You're welcome.
Low calcium seems to be very important.
I see no reason to use other than what's recommended!

Same here, been using it since I purchased my Regal.

My Regal got another Bath today.
I washed my Regal after I finished my Wife's SUV.
Got them done before the heat really set in, there was a nice easterly breeze too.

I just washed my car on Wednesday.
Then, while over at my daughter's Condo Wednesday, maintenance cut the Dead Brown Grass.
My car was again covered in Dust from the Dead Grass.
Saturday we had a little light rain and it made all that dust on my car, from Wednesday, really stand out.
My Car is Dark Sapphire Blue, so it really shows the dirt.
