I have a 2002 LeSabre, and getting ready to soon do the transmission fluid & filter. I've read several discussions about adding the magnets.

I'm wondering if someone can point me to the best ones to use. Do they just stay attached under their own magnetic power or get attached by mechanical means?

Thanks, JT

29535617 is the magnet, you need 2 of them. You remove your old magnet from the pan
I advise doing the lube tube that replaces the 6 piece assembly in there too

I'm just getting time to start thinking about doing this job.

So, do the magnets just attach by their own magnetism?

@BuickGirlFromMars, Could you please tell me a little more about the accumulator fluid pipe, and why I should change it? It appears to be under $10, so I have no problem with replacing it, I'm just wondering what the story is. Newer improved part, etc.? Thanks!

Hi, I bought this part 24243134 to replace on recommendation since I'm doing a shift kit and magnet with a filter. Could you explain where it goes and how to install it or a link to a video or step by step guide on a website please? I don't want to screw it up🙂
